MAI MOANA ISLAND is a private island in the lagoon of Bora Bora… Bora Bora is situated about 240 km towards north-west of Tahiti. Its lagoon is known as the most beautiful one in the whole world. Bora Bora belongs to the Society Archipelago along with Raiatea, Huahine, Tahaa, Maupiti and several other small islands. The road going around the Bora Bora main island is 35 km long. The island is dominated by two mountains – Pahia and O Te Manu. The lagoon is circled by the reef and a chain of small islets called motu. It is on one of those motu, in the most beautiful part of the lagoon, that Mai Moana Island is situated.

We will meet you at the Bora Bora airport and transfer to our island. You will be welcomed with a drink and then accompanied to your bungalow.

You can relax yourself thoroughly here and really in comfort although so close to nature – on almost a desert island. There is hot water heated by a solar energy system and electricity provided by a generator. The generator works only between 7.00am and 8.OOam and in the evening between 6.00pm and 10.00pm yet there are battery lights in the bungalows so you can have your light when you need it.

Our meals are of our own choice depending on provisions available but, as far as possible, we take into account your dietary restrictions.

And what is very nice and romantic is "a candlelight dinner " which can be served – depending on the weather – under the open sky. And what is more, your host, knowing French Polynesia as his own pocket, can tell you lots of stories if only you ask him.
